Meet our Instructors

 Paco González

Paco, a Microsoft Data Platform MVP and SolidQ North America Managing Director, is the PASS Big Data Virtual Chapter Leader, SQL Saturday Barcelona Organizer and assistant at the PASS Atlanta BI User Group. He is finishing his PhD thesis about “Analyzing Social Data with Machine Learning.” He is an MCT and MCP on BizTalk Server and SQL Server. He is coauthor of Microsoft Training Kit 441.

Paco is a frequent speaker at large and small conferences. SQL Saturdays, TechEd’s, PASS BA, PASS Summit, DevWeek London, and PAW Chicago and London.

 Pau Sempere

Pau is a Mentor at the Business Intelligence Area, participating in SQL Server, BI, Big Data and Data Science projects. He is a computer engineer graduated at The University of Alicante, being awarded as Microsoft Active Professional in 2012.

He is experienced in areas such as manufacturing, insurance, social media, health and e-commerce. In these, he has been part of many projects including data integration, data modeling, data analysis and visualization, mainly based on the Microsoft Data Platform.

As speaker, he has participated in Microsoft Technet webcasts and events, and at the last five editions of The SolidQ Summit. In addition, he often works as a trainer in different sessions and training courses around the Microsoft data technologies.

Víctor M. García Sánchez

BI architect and consultant focused in Microsoft technologies with a strong background in several areas such as banking, transportation and public administration. Among his skills can count system integration and data consolidation, data quality, data analysis, dashboards and scorecards development, corporate reporting. Always with the target of provide innovative solutions to customers.

Besides, trying to share knowledge to community through SolidQ and personal blog, collaborating with TechNet performing webcast and speaking in events.

 Walter Putz

Walter Putz, MCSA, MCSE Database Engine and MCT, is an SQL Server Architect with SolidQ. As Consultant and Trainer for T-SQL Programming, Administration and DWH/BI he works in the whole DACH region; amongst others for ONE, A1, Daimler or Raiffeisen. He delivers SQL Server trainings in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Dresden, Leipzig i.e. for Stadtwerke München, Ferrero, Carl Zeiss, Casinos Austria, Magna et. al.

Project goals

The Accounting and IT departments decided to go for a comprehensive BI solution based on Microsoft technology in order to carry out different analysis that helps them in decision making, both in the mother company and in the subsidiaries.


The new platform helped the consolidation and centralization of the company’s information in a corporate Data Warehouse.
The Accounting Department now has an Excel-based solution that extracts information from the cube to perform analysis and in order to improve reports intended for the Board of Directors.
Budget loading process, which was a manual and difficult task to integrate, is now automated, and the information is built into the Data Warehouse.
Every subsidiary Director has now access to analytical reports in Power BI for decision-making.
